We are delighted to announce that we’ve recently been presented with two awards from Morgan Sindall, recognising our work for them on a two-storey extension at the Co-operative Academy in Blackley, Manchester.
The work of the Torpedo Factory Group team meant we were judged to be the supplier Most Committed To The Spirit Of Perfect Delivery. Meanwhile the Project Manager at Torpedo Factory Group, Dave Simpson, was awarded the Best Supervisor Award for his exceptional work on the project.
The new £18.6 million two-storey extension features a number of performing arts spaces and a state-of-the-art 300-seat theatre. Working alongside Morgan Sindall, Torpedo Factory Group equipped the theatre space with professional specification acoustics and a lighting rig. Unusually for a space of this kind it has been designed as a theatre “without dimmers”, using DMX signals to control the lights directly.
Partnering with acclaimed theatre consultants Drama by Design, we designed, supplied and installed a range of stage lighting and audio systems, as well as control systems to the LED house lighting and an assisted listening system. View our full range of stage and performance installation services.
