Richard Heffern, Principal
As a founding member of The Financial Group, Rick Heffern brings over 15 years of industry experience to corporations, financial institutions, and non-profits. Rick has placed more than $5 billion of corporate owned and individual life insurance. Most recently, The Financial Group has developed a number of innovative capital development and financing strategies for non-profit organizations
Prior to forming The Financial Group, Rick was Vice President of Insurance Services at Huntington Bank. Previously, he was with Pollock & Pollock, a Cleveland insurance company, serving as a Principal and Vice President. He was also a Principal at Clark/Bardes a national organization with expertise in the executive compensation and benefits business.<br><br>
Rick is an active member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters, Cleveland Association of Life Underwriters, and The Legislative Circle. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College in Michigan. Rick holds the Limited Securities Representative and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law licenses, and is life and annuity licensed. He is a Registered Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Rick lives in Gates Mills with his four children. He is involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations. He is a member of The Country Club, Sand Ridge Golf Club, The Union Club, and The Club. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis, and raising his children.
